Project C2 (Integrated Intelligent Systems: IoT, Energy Management, and Digital Twins): Develop solutions based on IoT, digital twins, and intelligent energy management, applicable to industry and smart cities.

Strategic orientation: Promote the transition to Industry 5.0, supporting the integration of emerging technologies in industrial management and contributing to greater efficiency and sustainability.

Objectives	The Industrial Management research line is focused on the development, adaptation, and application of technology-based models and tools to improve, automate, and optimize industrial operations and processes. It is also capable of promoting the use of technologies in data collection and processing, useful for industrial management in companies, as well as digitization in the implementation of Lean tools capable of adding value to the production and services of goods. This project objectives include developing tech-based models to optimize industrial operations, promoting tech use for data collection and processing, and digitizing Lean tools for value addition. The project targets decision model development, production management support, and supply chain automation in transitioning to Industry 5.0.

Objectives	The integrated project aims to develop intelligent systems combining loT-based monitoring, energy management, and digital twin technologies, with applications in environmental, biomedical, and industrial domains. In the environmental and biomedical areas, it focuses on creating low-cost, energy-efficient loT systems for monitoring soil and air quality, as well as real-time health diagnostics to support individuals with special needs. In the energy sector, the project develops efficient solar thermal systems through process modelling, digitalization, and autonomous control using digital twins. Additionally, it explores the use of digital twins and VR technologies to optimize industrial processes, enhance domestic energy systems, and create immersive virtual training environments.
