COMEGI is a research centre on Management Sciences of Universidade Lusíada, committed to obtain advanced results, well recognized by highly reputed journals and scientific institutions. Therefore, the admission of new integrated researchers implies that candidates have to fulfil the necessary conditions concerning their recent scientific activities complemented by their commitment to pursue advanced scientific activities consistent with COMEGI new plans for 2025-2029 in order that a high level of results can be attained.
The normal metrics measuring such necessary conditions applied to every quadrennium, before or after joining COMEGI, include 1 paper in a journal with a high indexation of the most well-known systems, Scopus, WoS, FT50 or ABS, or at least 3 or 4 papers in journals indexed by other systems available through CrossRef. The supervision of 1 or more PhD students every 4 or 5 years, as well as the publication of the results based on their dissertations, is an important factor supporting the admission process.
Additionally, the admission process implies the evaluation of a research work proposal (5 to 10 pages) submitted by the candidate presenting a research plan, objectives to be pursued, and expected outcomes, namely in terms of projects and publications. This process includes an interview with the candidate.
Special consideration is given to the international dimension of the candidate's CV and to his expected contribution to the strengthening of the international networking of COMEGI.
The presented conditions will be adapted for young candidates beginning their research careers and following mentoring programs offered by COMEGI, balancing the achieved outcomes with the evaluation results obtained in such programs expressing the expectations about their future outputs and contributions for the development of the Plan of Activities of COMEGI, 2025-2029.
