A investigação desta área incentiva a gestão e a qualificação da mão de obra de cada organização, indo ao encontro dos desafios da sustentabilidade e aumentando o valor adquirido da inovação. É dada particular atenção às necessidades de novas competências que consigam acompanhar a inovação tecnológica, com vista à promoção de uma cultura ativa e inovadora em cada organização e à integração das múltiplas gerações e dos diferentes perfis. Em cooperação com a Área B, será desenvolvido e testado um laboratório experimental com o objetivo de aprimorar as opções e as orientações dadas ao marketing e à gestão de recursos humanos. A cooperação internacional desenvolve-se com a Aarhus Business School of Denmark.
